Musical inspiration and renewal in the tranquility of Britain's smallest cathedral on Scotland's most accessible island
Isle of Cumbrae Summer Music is a residential course and retreat for classical musicians, combined with a series of public concerts for music-lovers of all ages and levels of appreciation.
It is held within the tranquil and uplifting ambience of The Cathedral of The Isles, Britain's smallest cathedral, situated on the Isle of Cumbrae, off the Ayrshire coast of Scotland.
The course aims to provide time and space for practising or aspiring musicians to refine their skills and find fresh inspiration under the guidance of outstanding performers and teachers, while the concerts seek to enliven and enrich the spirit of performer and listener alike with life-enhancing music.
It is also our hope that all who attend the Isle of Cumbrae Summer Music, in whatever capacity, will be refreshed and renewed by the natural beauty and serenity of the island.
The dates of our next Isle of Cumbrae Summer Music are 26 – 31 August 2014.
